San Francisco Street Photography | Analog & Digital

My street photographs (analog and digital) were made primarily in San Francisco between 2004 and 2014, during long walks through neighborhoods like SoMa, North Beach, and the Embarcadero. I was drawn to the city’s changing light, its fleeting gestures, and the quiet moments that unfold in public spaces. These images observe people as part of their surroundings — sometimes connected, sometimes isolated — and reflect my fascination with how emotion and architecture shape each other.

Each frame is unscripted, but carefully composed, seeking the poetry that exists within the ordinary. Continue to Portland Observed for the full portrait of Portland’s streets in motion.
