Becoming the Image

A sequence of self-portraits made in the studio, tracing the slow process of recognition through the act of photographing. Each frame marks a negotiation between presence and construction — the artist turning toward her own gaze until the camera, the body, and the room settle into alignment. The work unfolds as a study in looking, hesitation, and form; an unguarded record of becoming. The exploration of perception continues in Between the Seen where presence and performance unfold beyond the self.
